Privacy policy

Last updated: 31 May 2026

This page explains what data NumberWiki and the third-party services it embeds collect when you visit the site, how that data is used, and the choices you have. NumberWiki (number.wiki) is operated by NumberWiki as an independent reference site.

Summary

What we collect

NumberWiki is a public reference site. We do not require accounts and do not directly collect personal information from visitors. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request URL, user agent, referrer) are retained for up to 30 days for operational purposes — diagnosing outages, identifying abuse, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns — then rotated out of storage.

Cookies and similar technologies

NumberWiki itself does not set tracking cookies. The third-party services listed below (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) set their own cookies and use related technologies to measure traffic and serve advertising. You can manage these via your browser settings or via Google's Ads Settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js, property G-LFQ3B14CJT) to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, traffic sources, device categories. Google Analytics may set cookies and process technical data such as your IP address; Google's processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. IP addresses are processed by Google for geographic reporting and are not stored by us.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

NumberWiki uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites.

Third-party advertisers and ad networks that we have not directly engaged may also serve advertisements through Google AdSense. We have no control over the content of those ads or the cookies they set; please refer to the respective providers' privacy policies for details.

Third-party services

NumberWiki is delivered through and integrates with:

These services may receive your IP address and user-agent string when serving assets.

EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors (GDPR)

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (and equivalent local laws) give you the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Our lawful basis for processing operational server logs is legitimate interest (running the site, preventing abuse). Google Analytics and AdSense rely on consent for personalised analytics and advertising; Google's compliance is described in the Google data-processing terms. To exercise any right, write to contact@number.wiki.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" (including for cross-context behavioural advertising via Google AdSense), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To opt out of Google's use of cookies for personalised advertising, use the Google Ads Settings link above, or set your browser to send a Global Privacy Control signal — Google honours GPC for the purposes covered by California law. To submit a formal CCPA request, write to contact@number.wiki.

International transfers

The site is hosted in the United States. Google Analytics and AdSense data are processed by Google in the United States and other countries where Google operates infrastructure. Where you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as published by Google.

Do Not Track

We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. Use the opt-out links above to manage analytics and advertising cookies directly.

Children's privacy

NumberWiki is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). The site is suitable for educational use.
